Hello Room 104 Families,
Hope you enjoyed your week celebrating Valentine's day with your children. We would like to thank all of you who donated treats to make our party wonderful. This week we focused on what it means to be a good friend. We practiced using kind words. We learned a new word, "compliment" we learned that to compliment someone means to tell them something nice about themselves to make them feel good. We have been using the phrase ,"I like you because...." the children have been having a lot of fun with it and we hear them using it throughout the day. Practice giving each other compliments at home. As the weather warms up we will be spending more time outside; keep in mind it is going to get muddy on our playground. We do our best to stay out of the mud; however, sometimes it's unavoidable. Please send your children to school dressed appropriately for outside play. We suggest sending an extra pair of boots or old shoes (that can be kept here at school) to play outside. Coming up the week of February 27-March 3 we will be celebrating Dr. Suess week, we will be celebrating with special dress up days and activities for that week, more details will be sent home in a note next week. On March 2nd it will be Dr. Suess' birthday, as well as, National Read Across America day. We will be having a birthday party for Dr. Suess and other special activities on that day. Details will be coming soon!!
As always please feel free to contact us here at the school with any questions or concerns you may have.
Have A wonderful week!
